I am 5'3 and about 135-140lbs on average, 27in waist with all of my weight in my lower abdomen. **I ordered a small** but I kinda wish I got the XS. I am normally a small in bottoms but I feel like while it fits comfortably, the XS might suck me in a bit more. It feels closer to a medium. I bought this so I could have a nice black skirt for the summer where my leather skirt would be too hot, also wanting to bring back that classic late 90s business casual skirts look. I think if I was taller I would be worried about it being too short to wear in regular outfits (for me personally) but the shorts underneath help and the length wouldn't be an issue for sports. There is only one pocket in the shorts which is weird, I usually use both pockets on my athletic leggings and shorts but it's better than none I suppose! If I get wear out of this one I might purchase it in the lighter beige colors or white.
